"Rings of Light"

This chandelier is 3' high and weighs about 50 pounds. Each of the 40+ plates was cut, slumped, and then a 2" hole was drilled, allowing them to slide over a central plexiglass tube. Light is provided by four 3' LED strips mounted on a central 3/4" square piece of wood. It is dimmable and powered by a central low-voltage transformer. It is hung by two 1/8" stainless steel cables, each rated at over 100#.

The design was inspired by an image of a "Quaternion."
